Hypnosis is simply a relaxed, focused state of concentration. It is a state you experience naturally many times each day. Everytime you daydream, or imagine an event in the past or future, that is hypnosis.

Being Hypnotised feels very different than most people imagine. In general, hypnosis feels much like that relaxed state you experience as you are falling asleep at night. That state where you feel totally relaxed just before you fall into a deep sleep.

Hypnotherapy is about using the hypnosis skills on others for therapeutic benefit. Hypnotherapy is the direct communication with the unconscious mind. It is a means of finding solutions and guidance for specific issues or problems. Through the use of Hypnotherapy, the unconcious mind creates new and more powerful ways to solve problems, overcome fears and eliminate limitations. Hypnotherapy makes lasting change possible, managable, and fast.

The objection of the regression is to gather information from the past that will help the subject deal with something in the present. During the regression all you want to do is gather information. You can organize and interpret the information after the regression.
